Young entrepreneurs to receive more support

The European Commission is seeking to publicise its plans to fund start-up entrepreneurs under Horizon 2020, through €15 million of calls in the first two years.

In a statement on 16 December, the Commission says the plans will help to support the next generation of digital entrepreneurs, and to build existing start-ups.

“We need to support the entrepreneurs who will launch innovative online businesses that will change the world, and create jobs for our young people, and this Horizon 2020 funding will go a long way to help,” said the commissioner for the digital agenda, Neelie Kroes.
