An expert group is being set up by the European Commission to advise on the methods that should be used to evaluate the success of Horizon 2020.
The objective of the group is to design and implement methodologies to identify and assess the economic, social and environmental impacts of Horizon 2020, as well as Framework 6 and 7, the Commission said. The group’s work will “feed into” the interim and ex-post evaluations of Horizon 2020.
Members will need to have extensive knowledge and experience of designing, implementing and evaluating research and innovation policies, as well as experience in one of the research areas covered by the Societal Challenge pillar of Horizon 2020, it states.
