Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+ in firing line

Member states are planning to halve an expected increase to both Horizon 2020 and the Erasmus+ budget between 2017 to 2020.

In its proposal for the mid-term review of the EU budget, the European Commission said that Horizon 2020 should receive €400 million more than originally anticipated, and that Erasmus+ should be increased by €200m.
