Sweden and Denmark, the two countries building the European Spallation Source, have borrowed €100 million from the European Investment Bank to develop the facility.
The money was made available on 29 November under the InnovFin programme of Horizon 2020, the EIB said in a statement. Along with money, the EIB will provide technical assistance to the partner countries for setting up the facility’s partnerships and funding framework.
