Research groups unite around Framework 9 priorities

Several research organisations have published a set of common priorities for the European Commission to consider for the next research and innovation Framework programme.

Framework 9 must retain excellence as its primary proposal evaluation criterion, further support open science, and address global challenges in an interdisciplinary way, the organisations said yesterday.

The priorities for the programme were endorsed by seven research and university associations, including the European University Association, the League of European Research Universities, and the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators.
