Walter Ricciardi, Italian professor of preventative medicine, has taken on leadership of EU advisory board
The new chair of the advisory board for the EU’s planned R&D mission on cancer has told Research Professional News that he is inspired by the makeup of the board and its collective “immense expertise”.
Walter Ricciardi, previously a deputy chair on the board, has been appointed by the European Commission to succeed Harald zur Hausen, whose departure due to personal reasons was announced on 8 October.
