Companies behind on co-funding of Horizon 2020 partnerships

Industry contributions to budgets of public-private partnerships are lagging, auditors find

All seven of the mature public-private “joint undertakings” co-funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 R&D programme are suffering delays in their contributions from their industry partners, the European Court of Auditors has found.

The multi-year partnerships—in areas including medicines innovation, air travel, bio-based industries and fuel cells and hydrogen—are due total budget contributions from industry of €17.1bn between 2014 and 2020.
