European Commission hints that successor programme’s climate target could also be missed

The EU’s Horizon 2020 R&D programme is missing its target to allocate 35 per cent of its funding to climate-related activities in part because “different priorities have arisen”, such as “digitalisation, including cybersecurity”, the European Commission has said.
