Domenico Lenarduzzi shaped scheme that has sent millions of students across Europe

Research policy heads have been paying homage to Domenico Lenarduzzi, who is widely regarded as the father of the European Union’s Erasmus student mobility scheme.

After the announcement this week of Lenarduzzi’s death, senior figures said they would honour his legacy by furthering the cause of mobility in education.
