Extension said to have been requested by research organisations stretched by pandemic

The European Commission has pushed back by 10 days the deadline for submitting nominations for the next European Research Council president, with the cut-off date now set at 30 November.

EU sources told Research Professional News that research organisations considering a nomination for the ERC role requested a postponement in light of the severe time pressures senior research figures were under amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
