Advisory board of EU innovation funder stakes claim for slice of Horizon Europe budget

The advisory board of the European Innovation Council, a pilot EU funding body, has said the funder will need a minimum budget of €10 billion when it is rolled out in full in the bloc’s 2021-27 R&D programme Horizon Europe.

In a vision briefing published on 27 April, the 22-member advisory board said a €10bn EIC budget would attract up to €50bn in additional investments from elsewhere.
