Board recommendations will form basis of mission programming, with public consultation over the summer
The advisory boards for the EU’s five intended research and innovation missions will present their recommendations for specific missions and targets in June, according to R&D commissioner Mariya Gabriel. Those recommendations will then be discussed with the public before final plans are presented in September, she said.
Gabriel told the European Parliament’s research committee on 16 June that the recommendations would not only be for research and innovation directly. “The recommendations will be about involving citizens, and citizens’ commitments, and real-life impact for citizens,” she said.
