Commissioner tells Parliament appointment of permanent ERC president ‘possible’ in 2020
The European Commission is close to appointing an interim president of the European Research Council, R&D commissioner Mariya Gabriel has said.
Gabriel told the European Parliament’s research committee on 16 June that her team is “quite close to a result” on the process, adding: “I think it will soon be possible for us to say there is an interim president.”
