Technology organisations feel left out of EU mission planning

   

Specialist institutes want a bigger hand in R&D initiatives

The experience of research and technology organisations has been “underutilised” by the advisory boards set up to shape the ‘missions’ being introduced in the 2021-27 EU R&D programme, according to a body representing such organisations.

The long-term governance structures for the missions, which are being introduced to increase the impact of Horizon Europe and public support for it, must make better use of the foresight that RTOs can offer, according to the European Association of Research and Technology Organisations.
