European Research Council’s governing Scientific Council ‘concerned’ about Horizon Europe

Update 20/7: The ERC’s Scientific Council formally withdrew its support for Plan S shortly after the below story was published.

The European Research Council’s governing Scientific Council, made up of independent researchers who help to set the strategy for the flagship EU research funder, is worried about plans for implementing open science practices in the EU’s 2021-27 R&D programme, Horizon Europe.
