European Research Council announces winners and says Covid-19 impacts will be considered in 2022 calls
The 2020 round of the European Research Council’s prestigious Advanced Grants for established researchers had a success rate of just under 8 per cent, around 1.9 percentage points lower than the 2019 round.
The funder announced on 22 April that it had made 209 awards after receiving 2,678 applications. Interim president Jean-Pierre Bourguignon said a “great increase in demand led to a very fierce competition”.
