ERC agency wants to use artificial intelligence to find evaluators

Agency has €900,000 to spend on software for finding panellists and peer reviewers

The European Research Council’s administrative Executive Agency has launched a tender for the use of artificial intelligence software to help find suitable experts to review ERC grant applications.

Ercea wants the software to help the ERC Scientific Council find panellists and external experts to evaluate project proposals. Each year the ERC relies on around 1,300 panellists and about 35,000 external experts to review about 10,000 proposals.
