Horizon Europe addition seen as extra barrier to “burdensome” grant applications
Research leaders have joined mounting criticism over the addition of a ‘do no significant harm’ sustainability principle to the EU’s Horizon Europe R&D programme, warning it is causing confusion in an already time-consuming grant application process.

A senior MEP has even raised the prospect of legal action over the issue.
