Public-private Joint Undertakings struggle with human resources issues, European auditors warn

Official European auditors have warned that staffing problems threaten to undermine a major component of the EU’s research and innovation system.

Joint Undertakings (JUs) are European public-private R&D partnerships, funded by the EU’s research programmes and industry, and often involve universities. They conduct research in areas including medicines, fuel cells and clean aviation.
