Science Europe criticises EU leaders’ proposed €166 million cut as they simultaneously pledge research investment
An association of major European research funding and performing organisations has criticised a push by EU national leaders for the bloc’s research and innovation programme to have a smaller budget in 2024.
EU institutions are adopting opposing stances on the 2024 Horizon Europe budget, which the European Commission proposed over the summer should be €12.8 billion, up 3.7 per cent on 2023.
