Life sciences institutes seek ‘realistic’ approach to FP10

Increasing programme’s scope without a matching budget would demand too much, group warns

The EU’s next research and innovation funding programme needs to adopt a more realistic approach if it is to deliver on its promises, a group of life sciences institutes has warned.

On 12 June, EU-Life published its responses to a consultation by the high-level expert group tasked by the European Commission with advising it on the design of the next EU R&I programme—due to start in 2028 and currently referred to as Framework Programme 10—as well as on the remaining years of the current programme, Horizon Europe.
