Country is set to host 98 of 494 grants, with total funding of €780 million
Germany has dominated the latest European Research Council funding round, and is set to host 98 of the 494 Starting Grants awarded.
ERC Starting Grants provide up to €2.5 million for researchers with two to seven years’ experience since their PhD. They can be won by researchers of any nationality, but must be hosted by an institution in an EU member state or country associated to the bloc’s research programme, Horizon Europe.
