Joint Research Centre opens up nuclear energy testing labs

Dutch facilities will trial prototype reactor components

The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre evidence service has added four nuclear energy testing facilities to its list of research infrastructures that can be used by external researchers.

The four reactor testing labs recently opened at the JRC’s Environmental and Mechanical Materials Assessment facilities in Petten, the Netherlands, the research service said on 19 December.
