Co-founder reflects on website’s journey from drawing board to leader in biology pre-prints
With more than 64,000 manuscripts published since it was founded in November 2013, bioRxiv has become the leading destination in its field for the publication of research papers before they have been peer reviewed or accepted by an academic journal.
But co-founder John Inglis (pictured) says the team behind the server, which publishes these preprints after basic screening and a plagiarism check, are not resting on their laurels. “We are very happy with the current growth but ambitious for even more,” says Inglis, reflecting on the recent six-year anniversary.
