Commission wants greater collaboration between member states to respond to cyber threats
The European Commission has unveiled plans for EU action on cybersecurity, including increasing cooperation on research into cyber issues that threaten member states.
Its proposal, presented on 16 December, includes investing in research and innovation through the EU R&D and digitisation programmes; reforming online security rules; setting up a network of security centres and a joint cybersecurity unit; and upskilling workers and attracting talent to the EU.
