Nuclear research organisation Cern and Square Kilometre Array team up
Four major international research infrastructure organisations have joined forces to “overcome challenges related to the use of high-performance computing to support large, data-intensive science projects”.
The collaboration, announced on 22 July, was reached between the European organisation for nuclear research, Cern; the Square Kilometre Array organisation, which is managing the creation of the world’s largest radiotelescope; Géant, the pan-European network and services provider for research and education; and the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe.
