Uncertainty around contributions from the UK and Switzerland raises danger of reduced infrastructure funding
The head of a major European research infrastructure has warned that support for such facilities is on course to be seriously reduced in Horizon Europe, the EU’s 2021-27 R&D programme.
John Womersley, director-general of the European Spallation Source, expressed concern after hearing from Johannes Klumpers, the European Commission’s lead official on research infrastructures.
