Submissions ‘could well exceed’ the 6,000 foreseen at the design stage, European Commission officials say
The European Commission has launched its long-awaited platform for recipients of EU R&D funding to publish their academic papers, with officials saying demand has been “strong” since the platform started accepting submissions.
Open Research Europe, which launched on 24 March, allows beneficiaries of funding from the EU’s Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 R&D programmes to publish papers at no cost to them, and in doing so meet their requirements to make their papers openly accessible immediately.
