Neutron facilities renew ties amid concerns over European capacity

   

Isis Neutron and Institut Laue Langevin plan another decade of working together

Two major European neutron-based research facilities have renewed their cooperation agreement, amid concerns about a deterioration in the pipeline for such facilities across the continent.

The Isis Neutron and Muon Source in the UK and the Institut Laue Langevin (pictured) in France, which have worked together for about four decades, signed an agreement on 27 July that extends their collaboration for a further 10 years.
