‘Vast majority’ of EU expected to back infrastructure redistribution

Spain-led declaration on location of research facilities already supported by 14 countries

The “vast majority” of EU member states are expected to sign up to a declaration developed by Spain to encourage a “better” geographical distribution of research infrastructures in the bloc.

Spain’s science ministry said on 26 September that 14 countries had signed up to the Tenerife Declaration so far, without specifying which.
