Iter launches fellowship network

The fusion facility Iter is launching a scientific fellow programme, to help it to draw on the talents of outside researchers.

Fellows will be chosen by director-general, Bernard Bigot and Iter’s Executive Project Board, based on nominations from the heads of institutions in over 100 research laboratories, institutes and universities in China, the EU, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the US.

The network of scientists and physicists will work on simulation and theory within the research laboratories and institutes of Iter members, while remaining employed by their home institutions, to develop complementary research programs that support Iter operation.
