Working group set up to plan driverless car policies

A Commission-led expert group established to plan the future of autonomous vehicles in Europe held its first meeting on Tuesday 26 January.

The working group, set up by the directorate-general for industry, is designed to create a coherent EU framework for automated vehicles.

The GEAR 2030 High Level Group will be composed of national ministers, representatives from industry, consumers, trade unions, environmental protection, road safety and Commission officials.
