A carbon-capture demonstration project in China is one of eight foreign policy projects to be part-funded by the European Commission.
The project will receive €1 million under the EU’s Partnership Instrument, which is designed to fund projects deemed to be of “significance” to the EU’s foreign policy objectives.
Announcing its plans in a brief statement, the Commission also pledged €8m to develop ICT standardisation and strengthen cybersecurity with Brazil, India, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the United States.
