Public views sought on animal testing

The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre has opened a public survey into alternatives for animal testing.

The consultation, run by the JRC’s Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing, is designed to identify all types of knowledge sources that might be relevant for replacing, reducing or refining the use of animals for scientific purposes.

The survey will be used to identify knowledge gaps and to create a greater understanding of the ways ideas on the subject are currently communicated.
