Partnership would replace and build on the Innovative Medicines Initiative
A draft proposal from the European Commission on a public-private partnership for health R&D has been welcomed by health industry groups as a “significant milestone”.
“The future partnership will showcase to researchers, patients and citizens that Europe has the ambition to be a world leader in collaborative R&D,” groups including MedTech Europe and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations said in a joint statement on 3 August.
