European Institute of Innovation and Technology planning to select first universities for support

A pilot scheme for boosting entrepreneurship at universities via the European Institute of Innovation and Technology is set to start in 2021, according to the institute’s director. The EIT is an EU agency that supports knowledge exchange and capacity building among networks of research, innovation and higher education organisations.

“We plan to have already this year a pilot on this new initiative, where the first set of universities would be selected that could start to pilot some ideas on how we could help them to have a stronger innovation capacity and become more entrepreneurial,” EIT director Martin Kern told Research Professional News.
