EIC not yet hitting target for crowding in external investment

   

But MEP says European Innovation Council should be given “another billion or two billion euros”

The European Innovation Council, the EU’s funder of technology-based innovation and company expansion, is not yet meeting its target for crowding in external investment, figures have shown.

A report on the funder’s impact was published by the European Commission on 24 November, to coincide with the first EIC summit—a two-day event at which high-level EU policymakers set out their plans for innovation and the EIC more specifically.
