Calls aim to tackle cancer and address medicines shortages
The European Commission has adopted the first annual work plan for the EU’s new health programme, making €312 million in funding available in 2021 for crisis preparedness and disease-prevention activities including research.
Within the total, €158m is available as grants, and €148m through procurement. Among the calls for proposals in the plan, some have been earmarked for specific recipients but many are open to research organisations.
