European Innovation Council equity fund breaks through €500m

       

Companies given up to €15 million in second round of funding supporting “breakthrough innovations”

The European Commission has announced the second round of direct equity funding from the European Innovation Council, the Horizon Europe scheme for supporting the growth of R&D-based small businesses.

In the second equity funding round, the EIC provided about €322 million to 69 companies, with individual investments of €500,000-€15m per company. In total, the EIC has now awarded equity-based funding of more than €500m to 111 companies.
