European Space Agency mission includes experiments on muscles and materials

The European Space Agency’s latest scientific mission on the International Space Station is “going strong”, the agency has reported.

Esa’s Minerva mission, which began in April, has involved agency astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti conducting studies on subjects including whether background noise contributes to hearing problems, how gravity affects muscle tone, and the antimicrobial properties of certain materials.
