EU survey finds lack of skilled workers is stymieing R&D, with technicians in greatest demand

A lack of skilled workers is hampering R&D and innovation in small- and medium-sized enterprises, according to a European Commission survey.

Nearly one in ten—8 per cent—of SMEs said skills shortages had reduced their R&I activity, according to the 14 November Eurobarometer report.
