Government commits to reform of maths and science teaching

The government is committed to the overhaul of maths and science education to improve student outcomes, the junior minister for science, Sean Sherlock, has stated.

Reforms had already begun to change the curriculums at primary level and would work through to all levels in the coming years, he said at the launch in Dublin of a book, “European Success Stories in Industrial Mathematics”, on 19 October.
