Taoiseach emphasises support for electronic games industry

The gaming sector was a “key priority growth area” for the country, the Taoiseach (prime minister) Enda Kenny told an international gathering of electronic gaming companies in Dublin on 11 October.

The aim was to develop the sector in the same way that the general ICT, medical devices and pharmaceutical industries had been developed in Ireland, he told delegates, who included heads of several major companies including EA and Activation Blizzard.
