Sherlock welcomes unified patent – at last

The junior minister for research, Sean Sherlock, has welcomed the adoption of an agreed approach to a unified patent protection at an extraordinary competitiveness council meeting in Luxembourg on 27 June.

It had taken decades to reach agreement, which served to “undermine” European competitiveness, Sherlock said.
