Five universities drop in world rankings

The Provost of one of five Irish universities to have fallen in the QS World University Rankings has blamed declining state funding as a key factor.

Decline would continue unless fees were reintroduced, said Paddy Prendergast, Provost of Trinity College Dublin, which fell 13 places in the international league table to No. 65.
