Maths education a total failure, says engineers head

The new president of Engineers Ireland has lambasted that state of mathematics education in Irish schools. The situation is so bad the engineers’ body says it will host free maths training to help counteract the situation.

In a presidential address on 14 September P. J. Rudden described the maths situation in Ireland as “a total systemic failure in national education structures”.
