A total of 58 research projects have received funding under the latest round of support from the Technology Innovation Development Award (Tida) programme run by Science Foundation Ireland.
They will share a combined €6.5 million, with the support destined for researchers in universities, institutes of technology and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
