Microsoft invests €100m in cloud expansion

Microsoft is to expand its Dublin data centre to meet increasing demand for cloud computing services. It will put €100 million into the centre, on top of the initial €385m investment in 2009.

The centre supports customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Taoiseach (Prime Minister), Enda Kenny, said provision of cloud computing services based in Ireland could become a catalyst for economic growth.
