Companies and jobs increase under high-potential start-up scheme

More than 900 jobs have been promised by companies receiving support during the first six months of 2012 under Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Start-Ups Programme.

Jobs are up 20 per cent and company formation under the scheme is up 26 per cent on the same period last year, according to a statement issued on 26 July by the development body for indigenous companies. The jobs are in a range of sectors, including finance, but with a bias towards companies in hi-tech sectors including ICT, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
