Global computer giant Fujitsu has announced it will join National University of Ireland Galway in a research collaboration looking at how networked knowledge contributes to a human-centred intelligent society.
Galway’s Digital Enterprise Research Institute (Deri) will partner Fujitsu in the deal, with work already underway, according to a 19 July university statement. The aim is to collect large volumes of data to be processed by semantic analysis to enhance society, the partners said. The director of Deri, Stefan Decker, will lead the research in collaboration with Fujitsu Ireland.
